Every generation has an event that defines it.

The World’s Fair provided 19th century innovators like Nikola Tesla a platform to showcase their ideas. Events like Woodstock gave the baby boomers a chance to express themselves and dream of a better world.

Voice and Exit is our generation’s festival of the future.

It’s the event of the 21st century, where we not only predict the future, we experience it. Voice and Exit isn’t just about biohacking, political innovation, future technologies, or scientific breakthroughs….it’s about something much deeper: human flourishing in all it’s dimensions.

Many events focus on problems in our society. They feature presentations about what’s going wrong, and how we can stop it. Voice & Exit exists to explore what could go right, and how we can start it.

What is Voice & Exit?

An event. An experience. A festival. Bending and blending each genre to create something unique. Whatever you call it, it’s designed to be transformative and illuminating.

IMG_10751We assemble those who ask: What are the systems and ways of life that are holding us back? What can we create to make those old ways obsolete? What innovations enable us to find wellbeing, life meaning and stronger connection to others? How can we live intentionally today so as to create that better future? Voice & Exit is an environment of exploration where we “criticize by creating” a better world.

To achieve flourishing, we can consciously apply the human algorithm: Voice is speaking up, sharing ideas and persuading others to change; Exit is erasing boundaries, leaving obsolete systems, and starting something new. Not everyone is comfortable with experimentation. Not everyone is willing to embrace change. Not everyone is a trailblazer. We celebrate and empower Exiters that are pioneering bold new ways of living.

Where do we start?

We begin with self: mind, body and spirit. Those who start by improving the natural center will be the most effective agents of change. From self we move to community: the people we interact with at home, at work and in our cities make up the next circle of innovation. Finally, we move to the wider world. Along with exploring ideas that better enable us to flourish as individuals–health optimization, positive psychology and expanded consciousness–we explore new technologies, businesses and social operating systems. These developments give rise to happier people, tighter communities, and freer societies. Self. Community. World.

Human flourishing depends on peaceful cooperation among people who, though they may be different, share ideas to make the world a better place. In this way, we think beyond politics. The era of force is passing away. An era of cooperation and connection has just begun.

Voice & Exit is not the right event for you, if you:

  • Do not have an active interest in improving human wellbeing
  • Do not believe that we can actively create our own future
  • Are not comfortable stepping outside of the status quo to blaze new trails
  • Are not interested in forming new ways of co-existing through community
  • Prefer fighting current systems more than creating new ones
